Living in the Las Vegas desert has taught me a lesson about allergies because of the strong winds, dust, pollen and smoke in the air. As the mother of a young child, I am not overly excited to use over the counter medications to suppress allergy symptoms so I started looking into other options. Allergy pillows are a great idea but too often they consist of only lavender which is amazing but sometimes not powerful enough to combat a concentrated amount of various types of allergens.
This pouch is filled with fresh lavender flowers that have been drizzled in anti-allergy essential oils that are meant to reduce allergy symptoms. While there are several oils in the pouch, the first key ingredient is rosemary because of it's ability to enhance the presence of antihistamines and add an antispasmodic component. To increase the antispasmodic effectiveness both Roman and German chamomile are added which should help you feel an overall calming of your respiratory system while reducing sneezing, phlegm and blocked sinuses. A combination of lemon and lemongrass essential oils increase this pouches ability to calm your bodies response to allergens. Because allergies often cause inflammation in the airways making it difficult to breathe, I thought Frankincense would be a nice addition to this floral bag because of it's ability to calm inflammatory responses to allergens. Pro tip: it acts as a natural decongestant and is supercharged when combined with clove oil because of it's ability to help treat asthma and allergic rhinitis. The last key ingredient is sandalwood because it helps strengthen the bodies ability to handle dust and pet allergies. This pouch seems to be most effective when stored in a ziploc bag until you're prepared to use it in order to preserve freshness. I stuck one in my car and it not only smells wonderful, there's less sneezing when my son rides in the back. You can also take it out of the bag and put it under your pillow when sleeping to help open up your airways. It's also a nice thing to keep in your desk at work if you need to combat allergies and asthma at work.
