In 2019, we have seen the decline of healthcare and education in the United States which has significantly contributed to the spread of sexually transmitted infections & diseases. According to the CDC, "Nearly 2.3 million cases of chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis were diagnosed in the United States in 2017," the same study goes onto say that "This surpassed the previous record set in 2016 by more than 200,000 cases and marked the fourth consecutive year of sharp increases in these sexually transmitted diseases." Simultaneously, there has been a marked increase in the acceptance of uncommitted sex in the Northern United States. In this day and age of self discovery & expression, Bella's Apothecary has teamed up with Planned Parenthood in an effort to spread awareness and make methods of protection more accessible to those who want and need it. 

Doing something as simple as using contraceptives during any sexual act can prevent infection in the case of exposure. Many STD's can have no symptoms so you may not know if you've been infected or if you are infecting others so make sure you're keeping up with your health, inside and out. If you are in the Las Vegas area and find yourself needing assistance with free condoms, you can always stop in a Planned Parenthood location and ask for help. There is no judgment and highly trained individuals will be there to help you. 

Planned Parenthood can also assist with pregnancy tests, pap smears, HIV testing, HPV vaccines, Cervical Cancer screenings & emergency contraceptives. Because of constatn attacks and budget cuts, some services may have a cost.
