What is a Washout
A washout is a traditional complementary and alternative medicine that is native to the Caribbean. Washouts and deworming is done twice a year, or more if needed. It can be a colon cleanse if using herbs, or extracts of herbs, like senna. These washouts, typically in the form of tea, are for general well-being and good health.
What is in a Washout?
While many recipes may vary from kitchen to kitchen depending on whose Grandmother you are talking to, there are some core items that most contain. Those include cerasee, moringa, and king of the forest. However, recipes tend to include almost anything that has had a history of helping heal ailments like hypertension or gas. The recipe we use has a combination of cerasee, moringa seed, noni leaf, anamu (guinea hen) kola nut, garlic, tumeric & neem extracts.
What does this Washout do?
This washout is powered by many different herbs. Each of these herbs have different benefits that work well with one another. None of them taste very nice, but they ll help promote general wellness. Let's explore each of them now:
What's the difference between the Elixir & Tea?
Tea doesn't strip the plant of all of its nutrients the way extraction using alcohol or vegetable glycerin does. The same amount of nutrients found in 1 cup of tea will be in 2 droppers of the elixir. That is because of the multiple extraction methods used when making each individual ingredient to go into the elixir. Anyone who ever had to drink their washout tea knows how horrible it tastes, and unfortunately this elixir will also taste bad but it dissipates very quickly. We suggest drinking it with orange juice every morning for 9 days. To purchase your washout, click here
You Absolutely Can Defend Yourself Naturally from Viral Infections
In the year 2020 we have to be ever careful of the spread of false information. It is dangerous on any given day but especially in the face of a growing pandemic. It makes sense that people are skeptical when the virus outbreak causes companies to release new products with fancy advertisement to catch your attention, and a little skepticism is healthy. Bella's Apothecary believes that knowledge is power and we all should be educating ourselves as much as we can using natural products before grabbing the nearest pill or cough syrup. Thieves Oil is a old and faithful recipe that has been found to be effective in combating number of viral infections. A traditional Thieves Oil recipe contains lemon, clove, oregano, cinnamon, eucalyptus and rosemary oils/plant extracts. Each of these ingredients have undergone testing in this modern day to find how effective they are and against what viruses. Here is what the evidence says:
How to Use Essential Oils
Essential oils can be absorbed into the body a number of ways, but should not be ingested. Inhaling them directly out of a bottle or using a diffuser or humidifier is one of the most common methods. You can also dilute essential oils in a carrier oil and apply it to the skin. Oils can also be added to things like shampoo, body wash, toothpaste, floor washes, laundry detergent and more. I like to put a few drops in my bath or rub them on the bottom of my feet to ensure they're absorbed into my system.
