What is a WashoutA washout is a traditional complementary and alternative medicine that is native to the Caribbean. Washouts and deworming is done twice a year, or more if needed. It can be a colon cleanse if using herbs, or extracts of herbs, like senna. These washouts, typically in the form of tea, are for general well-being and good health. What is in a Washout? While many recipes may vary from kitchen to kitchen depending on whose Grandmother you are talking to, there are some core items that most contain. Those include cerasee, moringa, and king of the forest. However, recipes tend to include almost anything that has had a history of helping heal ailments like hypertension or gas. The recipe we use has a combination of cerasee, moringa seed, noni leaf, anamu (guinea hen) kola nut, garlic, tumeric & neem extracts. What does this Washout do?This washout is powered by many different herbs. Each of these herbs have different benefits that work well with one another. None of them taste very nice, but they ll help promote general wellness. Let's explore each of them now:
What's the difference between the Elixir & Tea?Tea doesn't strip the plant of all of its nutrients the way extraction using alcohol or vegetable glycerin does. The same amount of nutrients found in 1 cup of tea will be in 2 droppers of the elixir. That is because of the multiple extraction methods used when making each individual ingredient to go into the elixir. Anyone who ever had to drink their washout tea knows how horrible it tastes, and unfortunately this elixir will also taste bad but it dissipates very quickly. We suggest drinking it with orange juice every morning for 9 days. To purchase your washout, click here
